We didn't build this store for every dog owner. We built it for you.

Who We Are

Shortboy Kennel is a small brand from Eagleville, Tennessee, built for bully breed owners who refuse to settle. We are dog people first — passionate about the breed, obsessed with quality, and committed to products that actually match the build and lifestyle of low-rider, heavy-built dogs.

Today we run two lines under one roof:

The Kennel — collars, harnesses, chews, treats, food, grooming supplies and supplements made for bully breeds.
The Wood Shop — solid hardwood furniture handcrafted to order: live-edge tables and desks, consoles and TV stands, bookcases and shelving, benches and sculptural decor.

Why We Started

The bully breed community is one of the most dedicated groups of dog owners in the world. These dogs are family. They're athletes. They're companions that demand the best care possible.

But finding the right gear? That's always been the problem. Collars that slip off blocky necks. Harnesses that gap around wide chests. Supplements built for Labs and Golden Retrievers. Beds that can't support 70 pounds of solid muscle.

We got tired of the workarounds. So we built the solution.

Why Wood Furniture?

Living with a 70-pound shortboy teaches you fast which furniture survives. Flat-pack tables wobble when a tail hits them. Veneer peels where a dog leans and chews. Particle board swells at the first spilled water bowl.

Solid wood holds up. A thick walnut or oak slab takes the bumps, can be sanded and re-oiled when life leaves a mark, and only looks better with age. That's the same "over-built, not over-priced" rule we use for dog gear — so we started offering furniture built the same way.

Every wood piece is made to order from solid hardwood such as walnut, oak, acacia and suar, shaped and finished by hand. Because each slab has its own grain and live edge, no two pieces are exactly alike. Crafting takes about 2–4 weeks, and delivery is free to the contiguous U.S. (5–10 business days; large pieces travel by freight with scheduled delivery).

What We Stand For

Quality over everything. Every product we carry is held to a standard — durable, safe, effective and built to last. We don't stock fluff, in the kennel or in the wood shop.

The breed comes first. Our dog catalog is built around the specific needs of bully breeds — their body structure, jaw strength, joint demands and nutrition. Our furniture is built to live alongside them.

Honest materials. Solid hardwood, real hardware, clear descriptions. If a piece is made to order, we tell you how long it takes before you buy.

Community over competition. Bully owners look out for each other. We're part of that community, not just selling to it.
